Diablo Hospital inConcord, Calif., following a sudden illness.He was born in Monroe and had been a lifelong resident of Minden.He was a Navy pilot during the Korean Conflict and a ConsultingEngineer for MDM Engineers.He was a member of St. John Episcopal Church in Minden, a member of N.S.P.E., Louisiana Board of Professional Engineerson Space Shuttle Programs. He was involved in the developmentof the MX Missiles and Trident Submarines. He was top expert in Nuclear Power Systems.He was preceded in death by his parents, Burness and Martha AnnBurns and a son, Robert Franklin Burns, Jr.Survivors include his wife, Joan Wiley Burns of Minden; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Keith James of Minden; two sons, Mark Clement ofDeQuincy and Gary Seegers, Jr. or Minden; three daughters, Cyndyand husband Rickey Speir of Bossier City, Amanda and husbandDavid James of Jasper, Ark., and Rebecca Mangrum of Minden;one Godchild, Suzanne Raether of Prairieville; one sister, Bonnieand husband Dick Raether of Prairieville; two brothers, Billy andwife Barbara Burns of Minden, Howard "Buddy" and wife SuzanneBurns of San Diego, Calif.; eight grandchildren, several nieces andnephews.Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Tommy Moore was survived by his parents , the former Florence Robinson and Thomas Omer Moore Sr. of Minden,, two brothers: George Berton Moore, Fred W. Moore, and six : sisters Ethel, Gloria, Betty, Helen, Lucy and Peggy. Tommy was the son of the former Florence Robinson and Thomas Omer Moore Sr. of Minden, Louisiana. Tommy is interred in the Minden City Cemetery in Section J near his parents, Hazel Florence R. Moore born Jan. 15, 1907 died 13 Aug. 1966 and Thomas O. Moore born 26 Dec. 1893 died 12 Sep. 1973. Mr. Moore was a PVT. in the Air Service during WWI. Also in this family plot is Gloria Moore Curry, a sister, who was born in 1927 and died in 1979. (A brother-in-law Ray Quade born March 15 1931 died Nov. 1997 was the husband of his sister, Lucy.)
