Sherry, it would help so much if we had a year on the style show picture 58.1, because I have a whole different take on it.  The 4th girl in the flowered dress looks a lot like Diane Britt ('63), and the girl sitting in the swing looks like Mary Ann Luck ('62).

Most of Mr. Grambling's pictures are identified by the year.  The pictures of the style show are numbered according to the year.  That is why some of the pictures are at Pine Hills Country Club and some at Minden High School (different years).  The last three high school pictures were taken in the home economics "Living Room."  The room looks much the same unless it's been changed during the renovations!

The girls in the style show are Margaret James, Jeanne Van Peene, __________?, Jan Brown, _____________?, ___________?, Mary Ann Luck although when looking at the girl  in the swing, I sometimes see Barbara Mendenhall.  But, I think it is just as Charlotte says.  Margaret and Mary Ann are from Class of 62 (mine) and Jeanne and Jan are from 61, I believe.

My take on this picture is that it could very well be me in the swing.  Hard to tell with so little showing.  But the hair style and eyebrow sure looks like mine.  I would say the girls are left to right:  Margaret James, Jeanne Van Peene, Jennry Lorraine, Ethlene Rials, Ann Aldredge and Barbara Mendenhall.  Standing in front looks like Glenda Fields or Diana Lay.

  I got in a hurry and didn't put "not" before the name of Margaret
James.  Others seem to think that's who it is, but I'm not sure of that.  If
it is, in fact, Margaret James, then my "theory" is shot down. :)

I've been watching these updates because I've been trying to decide who I
think they are.  These outfits appear to be those we would have worn in the
spring, so I can only believe the picture was taken in  the spring of 1958.
My class of 1961 began high school in the fall of 1957 and if all the girls
in the picture had already started high school that would eliminate girls
from the class of 1962 and higher.  Just a theory. :)

Okay, here goes nothing!

Left to right:  Margaret James, Jeanne Van Peene,  I don't believe the next
girl is Jennie Ruth Lorraine but I couldn't say who she is, Jan Ann Brown
(she always held her head slightly to the right), Ethlene Rials, Barbara
Mendenhall, and standing in front of the swing I believe is Sandra Crockett.

It'll be fun to see how this plays out.
