While I was poking around on the memdenmemories.org website, I went to "memories" and then went to "Fifties kids" (at the top) and looked at the pictures of my age kids..just to reminisce. On the 16th picture from the top..it is a picture of Jann Aldredge and me with our 5th grade teacher, Miss Whitehead , NOT Mrs. Smith.

The very last picture on that page is a picture of a group of girls and 2 chaperones that had been somewhere or were going somewhere. The front row is identified correctly, but on the back row is (left to right) Mrs. Mary Frances Phillips, (Marsha's mother), Janet Martin, Sharon McCollum, Marilyn Brown, Anna Roberts and Mrs. Craton. BEAR HUG is another of the photos showing attempts on my cute life. Few people know it, but my sister invented many invented many more diabolical and punishing moves used today in the WWF and other such wrestling venues. In this photo she gets ready to practice a new punishment on me. Note the look of terror on my face.

That's 1953 or 54 judging by my age. I was born in 1950 so you can date pictures that I'm in by how old I appear to be.

The elephant picture is another clever attempt to do me in. Someone thought it would be cute to photograph me and that vicious carnivorous elephant. The beast was making his move when the nice guy on the right side rescued me. It may have been another attempt by my sister to regain only child status.  See the picture of her trying to strangle me with the barbed wire fence assuring that she would inherit the family fortune valued at $10.00 at the time.  Guess I was just too cute for my own good. The girl on the right back is (I think) Virginia Doyle, daughter of the first grade Richardson Elementary teacher, the late Ruth Doyle. Virginia ?.

The girl in white on the front is Eloise McClendon Murchison (I think), daughter of the late popular Judge Enos McClendon. She has been married for many years to a D.C. attorney named Kenneth Murchison. I think they live in the Virginia suburbs.
